What We Believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God, written by men under divine inspiration. It is the final and supreme authority in all matters of faith and Christian conduct.

2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 1 Peter 1:24–25; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Matthew 24:35; Psalm 119:89

God

We believe in one God, eternal, existing in three distinct Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is the Creator of all things.

Matthew 3:13–17; 1 John 5:5–12

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, born of a virgin according to the prophecy of Isaiah. He is God in the flesh, the promised Messiah, and the only Savior of sinful mankind. We believe in His atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, physical return at the end of the age.

Matthew 1:18–25; John 1:1; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 2:1; Ephesians 1:7; Revelation 1:5

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering and guiding them in their Christian walk.

1 Corinthians 12:11–13; John 14:16–17

Salvation

We believe salvation is entirely by grace through faith. All people are sinners by nature and unable to come into God’s presence apart from Christ. Redemption is possible only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, not by human effort. Those who come to Him in faith and repentance will not be turned away.

Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5; Romans 3:10, 23; John 6:37

Baptism

We believe baptism is a testimony of salvation, not a requirement for salvation. Baptism is to be by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Every believer should follow Christ in believer’s baptism as a testimony of dying with Him and being raised to newness of life.

Matthew 3:13–16; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3–6

Resurrection and Eternal Destiny

We believe every person will be resurrected from the dead—believers to eternal life and unbelievers to eternal condemnation.

1 Corinthians 15:1–58; Revelation 20:4–6

The Church

We believe the true Church is made up of all those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, and that Christ is the Head of the Church.

Ephesians 2:19–22; Ephesians 5:23
